Philadelphia 76ers
Allen Iverson is a professional basketball player who is best known for his ten-year career with the Philadelphia 76ers. During his time with the team, Iverson earned a reputation as one of the most prolific scoring guards in NBA history. He was an 11-time All-Star, four-time scoring champion, and three-time steals leader. Iverson was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Iverson with the first overall pick of the 1996 NBA Draft. In 2006, Iverson was traded to the Denver Nuggets in a blockbuster deal. In Denver, Iverson continued to be a prolific scorer and was a four-time All-Star. He also helped the Nuggets reach the playoffs in each of his three seasons with the team. In 2008, Iverson was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player and led the Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals.
Detroit Pistons
In 2008, Iverson was traded again, this time to the Detroit Pistons. He spent just one season with the Pistons, during which he averaged 17.4 points and 4.9 assists per game. The Pistons reached the Eastern Conference Finals in Iverson’s sole season with the team.
Memphis Grizzlies
In 2009, Iverson signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. He played in only three games with the team before being waived.
Philadelphia 76ers (Second Stint)
In 2009, Iverson rejoined the Philadelphia 76ers on a one-year deal. He averaged 13.9 points and 4.1 assists in 25 games with the team.
Beşiktaş
In 2010, Iverson signed with the Turkish team Beşiktaş. He played in 10 games with the team before leaving due to injury.
Philadelphia 76ers (Third Stint)
In 2011, Iverson rejoined the Philadelphia 76ers for a third time. He played in only three games with the team before retiring from professional basketball.
Philadelphia Soul
In 2013, Iverson signed with the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. He played in one game with the team before being released.
